La historia de Sherry es muy especial. Nació en la tierra, pero sus padres murieron siendo ella muy pequeña, por lo que fue adoptada por una familia humana, y formada en las costumbres humanas más tradicionales. Cuando alcanzó la edad adulta como alien, comenzó a darse cuenta de algo desconcertante. No le gustaba nada dormir en su cama. Es más, no sólo no le gustaba dormir en su cama, sino que tampoco le gustaba dormir en otras camas, sin importar lo grandes, pequeñas, confortables o incómodas que fueran. Esto, que puede parecer una tontería, le supuso un verdadero quebradero de cabeza, pues sospechaba que jamás en su vida volvería a dormir a gusto. Hasta que una noche se quedó dormida en el sofá de su casa, mientras veía una película [probablemente alguna de Fellini]. Despertó tan descansada, tan de buen humor, y tan tranquila, que resolvió volver a dormir allí la noche siguiente. Así lo hizo, y comprobó, satisfecha, que por fin había encontrado su propio reducto del sueño. Y hasta ahora no ha encontrado nada mejor.

Sherry's story is very special. She was born on earth, but her parents died when she was very little, and so she was adopted by a human family, and raised according to traditional human habits. When she reached her alien adulthood, she became aware of a rather unsettling fact. She didn't enjoy sleeping in her bed. What's more, not only she did not enjoy sleeping in her bed, but she didn't enjoy sleeping in other beds either, no matter how big, small, comfy or uncomfortable they were. This may seem stupid, but it became a huge headache to her, as she suspected she would never rest and sleep properly again. But then, one night, she feel asleep on her couch while watching a movie [probably a Fellini one]. When she woke up, she felt so refreshed, so eager and smooth, that she finally decided to sleep there again the following night, which she did. She confirmed, fully satisfied, that she had finally found her very own little sleeping place. She hasn't found anything better yet.
