Cuando tuvo una cierta edad, Derek, nacido en la tierra, se aficionó enseguida al café. Veía cómo, a su alrededor, los humanos, además de café, consumían un extraño brebaje ambarino. No sabía lo que era y le tenía muy inquieto. Le dijeron que se llamaba té, que se hacía con distintos tipos de plantas, y que según las plantas que llevara era beneficioso para una u otra cosa. Le pusieron delante una taza humeante, y Derek la contempló, cauteloso. Probó un sorbo y le supo a agua con un leve sabor a algo, lo que le desagradó sobremanera. Se dijo que nunca más volvería a tomar té. Hasta que un día vio a alguien tomarlo con leche. Hogaño, Derek considera absurdo tomar té sin leche.

When he was old enough, Derek, born and raised on earth, got quickly into coffee. He noticed human people around sipping on some other strange amber-like beverage. He had no clue on what it was and it got him worried. He was told the mysterious beverage was called tea, made from different kinds of plants, and had a wide range of positive effects depending on the plants the tea was made of. Then someone placed a steaming cup in fron of him, and Derek stared suspiciously at it. He took a sip and it tasted just like insipid water, which displeased him terribly. He promised himself he would never drink tea again. Until one day, he saw somebody having milk with their tea. Nowadays, Derek find rather absurd having plain tea.
