Una terrible duda existencial atormenta a Bertie desde hace cierto tiempo. Y es que el pobre Bertie no sabría decir si acaso Darth Vader es más malvado que Aníbal Lecter. Por una parte, el doctor Lecter es un psicópata, lo que significaría que no ejerce juicios morales, y que, por tanto, mata sin prejuicios, mientras que Darth Vader es malo por amor. ¿Acaso la excusa del amor convierte a Darth Vader en alguien moralmente más aceptable que al doctor Lecter? Porque, veamos, si asumimos que Darth Vader es capaz de amar, y, por tanto de ser humano, ¿no es también capaz de calibrar la maldad de sus actos? Y si así es, el hecho de ser consciente de su propia amoralidad, y aún así persistir en su terrible conducta, ¿no le hace acaso más malvado?

Bertie has been tormented by a terrible existential doubt for a while now. Thing is, Bertie finds it very hard to decide whether Dart Vader is more evil than Hannibal Lecter. On the one hand, doctor Lecter is a psychopath, which means that he makes no moral judgements, and consequently, he kills prejudicelessly; on the other hand, Darth Vader is evil because of love. Does the love excuse make Lord Vader more morally acceptable than doctor Lecter? For, let's see, assuming the fact that Darth Vader is capable of loving, and therefore capable of humanity, isn't he capable of accepting the evilness of his acts? And if this is so, if he is fully aware of his very own amorality, and still persists on this horrible behaviour, isn't he way more evil?
